Usually the head of state is the one who gets this trait or follower, but sometimes a minister will have too. ![]() You also have some minister traits or followers that effects tax rate. The key minister is the treasury minister, as one of his effects is the global tax modifier. Ministers can affect your tax rate either positively or negatively, so you'll have to check their effects, traits and followers continuously. Military government buildings can offer a maximum of 3% tax rate modifier. In most regions you can have a government building that offers you up to 9%, and only nations' capitals will be able to construct the last two tiers that offer 12% and 15%. This value is a multiple of three: 3%, 6%, 9%, 12% and 15%. You will notice in the description of the government building that each tier or level will give you a certain modifier for taxation. The level of each of these structures will affect how much money it will contribute.įor example, if you set the taxes for the higher classes at the first slot, and the third slot for the lower classes, you will be getting 5% and 15% tax rate from each class respectively.Įach region has a capital, and every capital has a government building. At least watch it for Boromir (Sean bean)Īlso another great one in this time era is the last of the Mohicans. The first episode is a little slow, but the second introduces some awesome line battles, and a melee (flank) charge between the French and British. If you're the kind of person who enjoys watching movies/TV shows set in the same era of the total war campaign you're playing (like me), and you're playing Empire total war (or Napoleon for that matter) you should definitely check out the show "Sharpe" if you haven't already. It's especially great to get into because of the show "Sharpe". Also the fact they added units that look way better is really cool.Įmpire II I did play I really liked the adjusted research tree, but I found that the game crashed a lot and the mod was very unstable. Minor factions revenge: This is I think my favourite mod since it allows you to play as basically all nations in 2 time periods, and all nations are also added to the prestige calculator so you can really see how for example Mexico/Mysore turns into a grand Empire. ![]() But the mod seems a bit outdated and the ai on the campaign seems to be unreasonable. Of all these mods some are more new than others, I wonder what is your favourite and why? What was your experience with the other mods if you played any other.ĭarthmod: I found darthmod to be really cool, since it was my first mod, they incorporated a lot, like better sounds and smoke, bigger units, more unit variety, being able to play as more nations, 40 stack campaigns, no trade ships. As far as I know these are the main mods for Empire: ![]()
